Get ready to embark on a culinary journey to the heart of Germany in this hands-on cooking class featuring the iconic German Hunter’s Pork Jäger Schnitzel. Inspired by multiple trips to Germany, our chef was so captivated by this dish that it quickly became one of our most beloved lunch offerings. Now, we’re excited to share the secrets behind this German comfort food, so you can recreate it in your own kitchen with ease and flair.
This dish, a celebration of rich, hearty flavors, begins with tender, breaded, and pan-fried pork, golden and crispy on the outside, juicy and succulent on the inside. Paired with a luxuriously rich mushroom gravy that elevates every bite, this schnitzel will transport your taste buds straight to the rolling hills of the Eifel Mountains. Originally known as "Jäger Schnitzel" or "Hunter’s Schnitzel," it was traditionally made with whatever meat was hunted that day—often wild boar in the Eifel region. In our class, we’ll be using pork to capture the essence of this timeless dish, while adding our own twist.
But that’s not all—no German meal is complete without the perfect side, and we’ll show you how to make Spätzle, a traditional egg noodle that’s the ideal accompaniment to the schnitzel and its rich gravy. Each step, from crafting the delicate dough to perfectly cooking these buttery, pillowy noodles, will be guided by our expert chef.
Join us for this interactive and exciting class as we guide you through the process of creating this classic German dish, bringing it to life in your kitchen. By the end, you’ll not only master the techniques behind Jäger Schnitzel and Spätzle, but you’ll also discover the magic of German comfort food that’s sure to become a favorite in your own home!
